Device setup guide

Point a ZKTeco, eSSL or other push (ADMS) machine at this server. It takes about five minutes at the machine.

  1. 1

Connect the machine to the network

On the machine: Menu → Comm → Ethernet (or WiFi). The IP address must be a real one, such as 192.168.1.50 — not 0.0.0.0.

  2. 2

    Open the cloud server settings

Menu → Comm → Cloud Server Setting. Older firmware calls it ADMS; some eSSL models put it under Comm → Cloud.

  3. 3

    Type the five settings

Exactly as shown in Your settings, then save and restart the machine. HTTPS must stay OFF.

  4. 4

    Approve it here

Within a minute it appears in the live box and on the Devices page as Pending approval . Approve it, and its punches count.

The machine does not show up?

These are the causes seen most often, in order. Open one to see the fix.

HTTPS is ON

With port 80 a secure connection cannot work, so the machine never reaches the server, even with a working internet connection. Turn HTTPS OFF; the machine calls in within a minute.

The IP address on the machine is 0.0.0.0

The machine is not on the network at all. Check the cable or join the WiFi (Menu → Comm → Ethernet or WiFi), then look again: it should show an address such as 192.168.1.50.

Server Address is empty, or the port is not 80

Someone changed or cleared the settings. Type them again from "Your settings".

The keypad cannot type a dot (.)

Turn Enable Domain Name OFF: the Server Address becomes four small boxes with the dots already there.

It shows up, but punches do not count

New machines wait as "Pending approval". Open Devices and press Approve; the punches it already sent then count too.

Old punches from before are missing

Open the machine on the Devices page and press "Re-send all stored punches". It sends everything it still holds; punches already here are not doubled.

The times of punches are wrong

The machine uses its own clock. Set its date and time (Menu → System → Date/Time) to the company's local time.
